Every Year,
Lighthouse hosts the Recovery Run of the Rockies 5K in Fort Collins—a powerful community event that brings people together in support of recovery.
In 2025, our fundraising focus was on launching Lighthouse’s first women’s recovery home—and it was a huge success! Thanks to our community of runners, walkers, volunteers, and sponsors, we are making this vision a reality with a goal of opening the house in November of 2025.

More than a 5K
The Recovery Run of the Rockies is a celebration of recovery and community.
Here’s what past years have included:
- A professionally timed 5K at Fossil Creek Park
- Pancake breakfast courtesy of the Fort Collins Lions Club
- Live DJ, prize drawing, and post-race celebration
- Recognition for top finishers and age group medalists

Why It Matters
- In 2025, the race was focused toward helping us open our first women’s recovery home.
- Each year, proceeds from the Recovery Run support both our men’s and women’s sober living programs in Fort Collins.
- These homes provide a structured, supportive environment with mentorship, peer groups, and recovery tools.
- Your involvement helps ensure that financial barriers never prevent people from accessing recovery.

Registration (prices may vary in 2026)
- Early bird registration : $30
- Regular registration: $35
- Day-of registration: $40 (starting 7 AM)
- Registration includes a race-day packet with T-shirt and free pancake breakfast

Overall Awards
The Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers will receive separate awards.
Age Category Medals
Medals will be presented to the top Male and top Female in each of the following age categories:
- Under 10
- 10–19
- 20–29
- 30–39
- 40–49
- 50–59
- 60–69
- 70+
